KABUKI

Today we went to the National Theater of Japan to watch a traditional kabuki performance. I was so moved by the performance. I especially liked how the story is about the love of two individuals, whose love is "as devoted as two mandarian ducklings in love". The stage setting was fantastic, like an English theater in the round, but the stage moved similar to like a "lazy susan" if you will. Meaning the stage revolved to change from scene to scene.

It was actually a very sad story about greed, love and death.
