Lunch at an Okinawa style restaurant
After the kabuki performance, it was raining most of the entire day, so instead of checking out the Imperial Palace, we ended up taking the subway to the food halls of the Shin Marunouchi Building. Located in front of Tokyo Station, this building is filled with shops and food halls similar to that of Harrods in London. We ate a wonderful meal and had a great view of the city from where we sat. Seating was on the floor and then your feet dropped down into a box built into the floor so your legs could hang down, instead of sitting uncomfortable indian style. I don't know about you but sitting crouching tiger hidden dragon style for every meal can get pretty painful so this was a nice change of pace.
